The Future Fashion was a visionary glimpse into the future of fashion. The theme, Aquatic Depths, metaphorically invited attendees to dive deep into uncharted waters where digital innovation meets timeless artistry.
From AR wearables to AI-generated fashion films, the event highlighted how technology is being seamlessly integrated into fashion design, pushing the boundaries of creativity and sustainability. Guests had the opportunity to experience phygital collections, 3D fashion art, and immersive installations that sparked conversations about the future of fashion ownership and sustainability.
A groundbreaking highlight of the event was the launch of the I-Pay Ring by IZY Studio—a stylish and functional contactless payment wearable. Designed to fuse fashion with technology, this sleek ring allows users to make payments effortlessly with just a tap. As described by Zarina Izy, founder of IZY Studio, the I-Pay Ring reflects the studio’s commitment to integrating advanced tech with timeless elegance.
“At IZY Studio, our mission is to craft fashion-tech innovations that seamlessly integrate into your life. One such innovation is the I-Pay Ring, designed to simplify your daily routine with effortless payments.
Creating the I-Pay Ring was a meticulous process. We aimed to merge advanced tech with fashion, starting with 3D modelling a statement ring that’s also comfortable. Initial prototypes faced challenges in integrating technology without adding bulk. Through extensive testing and countless hours of refinement, we perfected a design that is thin, waterproof, and elegant.

IZY Studio also unveiled its Phygital Fashion Archive Collection, named Phytoplanktons. This innovative collection merges physical garments with their digital counterparts, stored via blockchain technology for seamless authentication and ownership tracking. Each piece in the collection was designed to represent a bridge between the physical and digital realms of fashion, emphasizing the growing importance of NFTs in fashion ownership.
As part of its mission to nurture emerging talent, IZY Studio launched an Open Call for Digital Designers. The competition attracted an overwhelming number of entries in categories such as AI-generated fashion videos, 3D animations, and AR wearables. The winners had the privilege of showcasing their work at the event, sharing the spotlight with some of the most innovative designers in the industry. A major focus of the event was the power of AI-driven fashion films, which captivated audiences with their futuristic depictions of garments inspired by the event's aquatic theme.
Throughout the day, panel discussions brought together key industry leaders, designers, and innovators to delve into how the creator economy, blockchain technology, and sustainability are driving the fashion industry forward. I had the pleasure of interviewing several key speakers, each of whom offered unique perspectives on the subject of digital transformation in fashion.
Marc Sondermann, CEO and ex-Editor-in-Chief of Fashion Magazine Italia, spoke about the pivotal role technology is playing in democratizing fashion and creating new opportunities for designers worldwide.
Krisztian Paczolay, a renowned digital fashion artist, emphasized how 3D fashion and zero-waste design are reshaping the way we think about sustainability.
Tilda Eriksson, known for her work on AR wearables and fashion-tech accessories, highlighted how augmented reality can revolutionize how consumers engage with fashion
The Future Fashion event was a resounding success, creating a space where fashion and technology could meet and flourish. From the I-Pay Ring and phygital collections to AI fashion films and thought-provoking discussions, the event sparked new ideas about how digital transformation is reshaping the future of fashion.
At Miss Maltese, we are proud to have been part of this groundbreaking event, and we look forward to continuing our journey alongside IZY Studio in shaping the future of fashion.
A successful event was made possible in part by the Miss Maltese team, where we selected university students from the digital sphere to contribute. Each student had a specific role, making it both a day of training and networking. This gave them the unique opportunity to witness firsthand the latest breakthroughs in Digital Fashion.
